Description
Welcome to Legendary Locations!
If you’re a roleplaying game referee — whether you call yourself GM, DM, Labyrinth Lord, Crypt Keeper, Storyteller, or whatever — you need resources. You need ready-made stuff for when the players ask what’s over the next hill. Okay, there’s a village. Who lives there? What’s for sale? Is there a place to sleep?
That’s what Legendary Locations is all about!
You get more than 100 pages of locations — from villages to inns & taverns to religious houses — populated by dozens of NPCs and factions. Each comes with a map, rumors, adventure ideas, and entertaining descriptions.
Kabouter Games had its genesis with Legendary Locations: simple, short supplements featuring places where adventurers can interact with people and their environment. Chief Kabouter R P Davis had a folder full of such places that he keeps handy for his hexcrawl games. He’s always adding to it! One day his lovely partner asked an innocent question, something along the lines of “I wonder if anyone else might like to enjoy these?” Soon short PDF supplements were finding their way to KabouterGames.com and DriveThruRPG.
This book is the result of years of effort, collated into one volume. It features the entire run of existing Legendary Locations plus all new locations exclusive to this book! Plus we’ve created a city (okay, more of a large town) to tie them all together in the Barony of Renlaek. You can still use each location on its own — they’re not connected except that they exist within the Barony.
Thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign, the book also includes detailed descriptions of the weed elf J’ha’e and his dwarf companion Bhob the Unspeaking, who seem perpetually to dwell on the portico of a certain shop in Renlaek Town, as well as more than a dozen new and exciting NPCs unlocked as stretch goals!
Best of all, the entire book is system-neutral, making the locations suitable for any pseudo-medieval fantasy game!
